Makeover Madness

A Special Program of Project SHARE
Interages’ Makeover Madness program matches older adult “clients” with cosmetology students at Thomas Edison School of Technology once a month during the school year.  The students are able to practice their skills in real life situations and gain proficiency in their field.  The older adults, who come from nearby adult day care centers and a nursing home, benefit from individual attention and human touch, while receiving a haircut, manicure and/or other cosmetic services.  The students improve their skills in shampooing, haircutting, manicuring and giving chemical treatments, while they are also learning and practicing techniques to work efficiently and effectively with frail or disabled senior clientele.
